**Merchandise Manager Job Overview**

Our company is seeking a highly experienced Merchandising Professional to lead the development and execution of merchandise strategies for our premium diamond & studded jewellery business. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in merchandising for diamonds and studded jewellery, with expertise in driving product strategy, assortment planning, and sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Merchandise Strategy & Planning:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive merchandise strategies for diamond & studded jewellery categories.
    • Define assortment strategy based on consumer insights, sales trends, and competitive benchmarking.
    • Manage open-to-buy (OTB) and ensure alignment of inventory with sales and margin goals.
  • Sales Growth & Business KPIs:
    • Drive sales, margin, and sell-through for studded categories.
    • Recommend replenishment, product rationalization, and discontinuation to optimize stock health.
    • Track weekly/monthly category performance and drive corrective actions.
  • Design & Product Development:
    • Collaborate with design and sourcing teams to develop commercially successful diamond collections aligned with market trends and brand positioning.
    • Ensure balance between core bestsellers and innovation-led launches.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain:
    • Ensure product availability across retail and digital channels by aligning with production, sourcing, and vendor partners.
    • Plan replenishment cycles for high-demand SKUs while introducing fresh collections to fuel newness.
  • Analytics & Market Insights:
    • Analyze consumer buying patterns and preferences for studded jewellery.
    • Conduct competitive benchmarking in diamond price points, styles, and collections.
    • Generate actionable insights from MIS & sales dashboards.
  • Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Lead a team of merchandisers/planners to execute category goals.
    • Work with marketing & retail operations to align campaigns with merchandise drops.
    • Partner with sourcing for timelines, pricing negotiations, and quality adherence.
