Job Title: Merchandise Manager

Seeking a senior merchandising professional to lead the development and execution of merchandise strategies for diamonds and studded jewellery categories. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in assortment planning, sales growth, and product strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive merchandise strategies for diamond and studded jewellery categories, focusing on solitaires, bridal jewellery, contemporary studded designs, and daily-wear diamonds.
  • Define assortment strategies based on consumer insights, sales trends, and competitive benchmarking, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Manage open-to-buy (OTB) and ensure inventory levels align with sales and margin objectives.
  • Drive sales, margin, and sell-through for studded categories, identifying opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Recommend replenishment, product rationalization, and discontinuation to optimize stock health, ensuring a balanced mix of core bestsellers and innovation-led launches.
  • Collaborate with design and sourcing teams to develop commercially successful diamond collections aligned with market trends and brand positioning.
  • Ensure product availability across retail and digital channels by coordinating with production, sourcing, and vendor partners.
  • Plan replenishment cycles for high-demand SKUs while introducing fresh collections to fuel newness and drive sales.
  • Analyze consumer buying patterns and preferences for studded jewellery, providing actionable insights to inform merchandise decisions.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking in diamond price points, styles, and collections, identifying opportunities for differentiation.
  • Lead a team of merchandisers/planners to execute category goals, fostering collaboration and driving results.
Desired Candidate Profile:
  • 6-12 years of experience in merchandising for diamonds and studded jewellery, with a strong track record of success in reputed jewellery brands.
  • Deep knowledge of consumer trends in solitaires, bridal jewellery, contemporary studded designs, and daily-wear diamonds.
  • Strong commercial and analytical mindset, with ability to link merchandise decisions to P&L outcomes.
  • Excellent skills in Excel, analytics, and merchandise planning tools.
  • Team leadership and multi-stakeholder management experience.
