About the Role:

  • Manage procurement activities efficiently by identifying reliable vendors, negotiating cost-effective purchases, and ensuring timely availability of raw materials and consumables.
  • Select suppliers/vendors for raw materials, machinery spares, consumables, and services, obtaining quotations, comparing price, quality, and delivery terms, and finalizing purchase orders.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and payment conditions with suppliers.
  • Issue purchase orders (POs) in line with company policies and approvals, ensuring timely procurement of materials as per production schedule.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the stores/warehouse for replenishment.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality, benchmarking prices, and identifying opportunities for bulk/long-term contracts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Supply Chain / Engineering / Management.
  • 2–5 years of experience in procurement/purchase in a manufacturing/industrial setup.

Essential Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems / MS Office.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Vendor relationship management.
  • Cost-conscious with attention to detail.
