Procurement Professional

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead end-to-end procurement operations for Solar EPC projects.

About the Role
  • This is a strategic sourcing position responsible for developing and executing procurement plans that meet project timelines, budgets, and technical requirements.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for leading tendering, bid evaluation, negotiations, and contract finalization with vendors and service providers.
  • A strong relationship builder, this individual will establish and maintain relationships with domestic and international suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute sourcing strategies for solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, and other Balance of System components.
  2. Align procurement plans with project timelines, budgets, and technical requirements.
  3. Lead tendering, bid evaluation, negotiations, and contract finalization with vendors and service providers.
  4. Establish and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
  5. Conduct vendor performance evaluations, audits, and capability assessments.
  6. Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams to forecast requirements and resolve supply-related issues.
  7. Facilitate smooth coordination between procurement, logistics, and site execution teams.
  8. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, technical specifications, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
  9. Identify alternate sourcing options and develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks.
  10. Track market trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging solar technologies.
  11. Recommend cost optimization, process improvement, and supplier development initiatives.
  12. Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and reports for audit and tracking purposes.
  13. Oversight logistics coordination, customs clearance, and timely delivery to project sites.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • 7 - 10 years of progressive SCM experience, with at least 5 years in the Solar EPC sector.
  • Proven track record in high-value procurement, vendor management, and EPC contract negotiations.
Skills
  • Strong understanding of solar technology, EPC contracts, and domestic/international supplier markets.
  • Excellent negotiation, contract drafting, and vendor relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and MS Office tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
