Job Responsibilities

As a Business Valuation Specialist, you will play a key role in performing and managing business valuation engagements for US and UK clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing and managing business valuation engagements for financial reporting (US GAAP) and tax reporting
  • Conducting valuations related to business combinations, goodwill impairments, gift and estate valuation, and 409A/stock compensation
  • Reviewing third-party valuations and assembling market/guideline/comparable financial and valuation data
  • Valuing equity, debt, derivatives, and other complex financial instruments
  • Litigation arising from shareholder disputes and other complex matters
  • Financial modeling and understanding of US tax laws
  • Compliance with financial reporting and regulatory requirements under IFRS and/or US GAAP

Requirements

  • CFA, CA, MBA, or equivalent certifications
  • Proven hands-on experience in business valuation
  • Ability to work on multiple high-value projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial management software or willingness to learn
  • 8+ years of experience in business valuation
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • High attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Sound independent judgment and strong ethical values
