Role Overview
The Agroforestry Specialist will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing environmentally conscious, community-driven agroforestry initiatives. This position will ensure that natural resource management priorities are seamlessly integrated into value chain strategies, driving sustainable livelihoods.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical aspects of agroforestry and restoration activities, encompassing value chain scoping, analysis, prioritization, and solution development.
- Support the design of field survey protocols and select focal species.
- Provide expert advice on technical interventions and capacity-building materials.
- Participate actively in stakeholder consultations and fieldwork.
- Assist in drafting and delivering comprehensive project reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Masters/Diploma in Environmental Science, Forestry, or Natural Resource Management.
- English & Hindi language proficiency.
- 8 years of professional experience in natural resources management, agroforestry, and nature-based businesses; 5 years of experience in agroforestry and nature-based value chains; 2 years of total experience in value chain-related projects in Rajasthan and/or Maharashtra.
