We are seeking a professional to join our operations team. This role will be based in Mumbai, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.

Our ideal candidate is a specialist who will be part of the reinsurance contract document setup, responsible for risk management on system basis, and generating covering letters for clients. They must create premiums transactions and generate LPANs and closing instructions. Additionally, they will analyze claims documents from clients, set up claims on the system, create claims transactions, and generate documents. The candidate will also submit documents to reinsurers, monitor agreements, follow up with clients and reinsurers, and handle inquiries from reinsurers and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce accurate client/underwriter documentation associated with respective processes within specified turnaround times
  • Stay updated with knowledge of core product principles and regulations to align with the continuous learning culture
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company regulations while processing work to protect clients, colleagues, and business interests
  • Contribute to the development of a supported and flexible working environment to meet business needs
  • Achieve individual performance measures as outlined and targets set within performance appraisal as agreed with line manager
  • Understand and contribute to the achievement of individual and departmental KPIs and SLAs
  • Enhance customer/client experience while adding value to end-to-end business processes
  • Display professional communication skills at all levels within the organization and with external customers
  • Maintain relevant records, logs, and timesheets as required by management and for MIS purposes
  • Participate in training programs or learning sessions as deemed necessary for enhancing job skills or nominated by managers
  • Constantly build technical expertise and business knowledge associated with respective processes as deemed necessary by line manager
  • Take ownership of work queues and ensure proper handover of work to team/line manager in case of absence
  • Support, assist, and provide guidance to less experienced colleagues as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and activities to share opinions, ideas, knowledge, and solutions; maintain strong working relationships and participate in initiatives where required to deliver outcomes
  • Perform quality checks for less experienced colleagues as per standard guidelines as needed
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in Reinsurance broking in the operations area
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (mandatory)
  • Technical expertise in XOL, Facultative & Proportional Treaty business
