Lead the development of new and emerging product lines as a Product Engineering Manager. Collaborate with senior leaders, product managers, developers, quality analysts, and infrastructure specialists to establish a robust product engineering process.

This role requires hands-on leadership to take charge of end-to-end product engineering requirements for multiple product lines and drive execution. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating product roadmaps and driving their execution in collaboration with strategy, product, and business teams.
  • Leading as a thought leader and mentor on architecture, design, and technical aspects of products.
  • Identifying and deploying the right tools, frameworks, techniques, and processes to enable product engineers to work faster and solve technology problems more effectively.
  • Ensuring the timely development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of products within agreed-upon timeframes.
  • Overseeing non-functional requirements (NFRs) for products.
  • Contributing to the selection and hiring of product engineering team members.
  • Responsible for product development (full stack) and release, including architecture, design, development, and testing within agreed-upon timeframes.

Desired Skill Set:

  • Experience in PDCs would be highly desirable.
  • Agile software development and management expertise, including user stories, iterative development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, shared ownership, test-driven development, etc.
  • Adeptness at using off-the-shelf software components rather than building everything from scratch if they meet the requirements.
  • A track record of shipping value to customers, valuing progress over perfection.
  • Hands-on experience with TypeScript.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript-based front-end frameworks like React, Vue, Angular, or Svelte, and back-end frameworks like Node.js.
  • Familiarity with service-oriented architecture and experience building and deploying RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints.
  • Success in building and shipping features for high-traffic web applications and mobile applications.
  • Comfort with RDBMS (preferably MySQL) and NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
  • Ability to use observability tools to identify and isolate problems.
  • Passion for working together with a team to solve customer problems.
  • Excitement about teaching and mentoring team members.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.

Qualifications & Experience: BE/B.Tech or any equivalent degree with 12 - 20 years of relevant experience.
