Supply Chain Optimization Specialist

Purpose/Function of the Role

As a Supply Chain Planner, you will optimize inventory levels to meet customer demands. Your key deliverables include:

  1. Create accurate demand forecasts based on sales data from online and offline channels. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve significant variances and improve forecast accuracy.
  2. Lead production planning for existing and new products, ensuring timely launches and optimal network utilization. Proactively identify risks and mitigate business losses by collaborating with category and channel teams.
  3. Develop an inventory management strategy across locations, balancing inventory levels with service standards. Monitor inventory health and ensure older stocks are not present. Work closely with manufacturing, warehouse, sales, finance, and procurement teams to maintain inventory and service norms.

This role requires analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication. You must be familiar with WMS/ERP/SAP-MM systems and have experience in demand and supply planning or capacity management. Engineering graduates with a master's degree are preferred. Experience in a plant setting and lean/sigma certification are added advantages.
