**Job Overview**

As a seasoned embedded systems engineer with a strong technical background, you will lead our high-performing software development team at Silicon Labs. Your expertise in designing and developing applications for resource-constrained embedded devices will be instrumental in driving our product roadmap forward.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead and grow a talented team of software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous process improvement and adoption of metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with global teams to develop and integrate software for wireless networking protocols, ensuring high-quality delivery and timely release of bug-fixes and new features.
  • Set technical, security, and quality bars for the team by leading architecture, design, and code reviews, and work with software quality teams to develop test plans.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, product managers, and applications engineers to understand customer applications, use cases, and issues, and provide effective solutions.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum 6 years of experience primarily with embedded engineering projects, with a strong background in software development and team leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrable experience working with teams in different geographic locations.
  • Experience implementing engineering processes that emphasize quality, security, and maintainability, and working with wireless microcontrollers on real-world applications.

**Nice to Have**

  • Advanced experience with 802.15.4 and/or Bluetooth applications, and CI systems such as Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions.
