Silicon Labs’ software and mixed signal engineering teams create solutions for customers in diverse markets including the Internet of Things, (IoT), internet infrastructure, TV tuners, as well as automotive and consumer radios. The Role

As a Lead Engineer, Software Developer in Test(SDET) in Software Quality Assurance (SQA) team, you will get to work with cutting edge Silicon Labs Wireless products while ensuring that our products meets the requirement of the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth standards. Our Hyderabad SQA team is focused on improving the overall quality of software used in Silicon Labs Wi-Fi /BT/BLE combo products targeting Internet of Things (IoT), Wearables and Industrial Automation applications. This position is based out of Silicon Labs, Hyderabad.

Responsibilities

Create and Validate Generic Embedded Test Applications for Functional, Performance and Stress tests of our wireless products, that will be integrated with in-house Unified Test Framework(UTF) for automation.

Understand the features in various Silicon Labs products and provide Generic/Custom solutions with Leverage as top priority.

Work closely with test automation engineers across the Globe, to debug failures found on embedded test application during the test cycle

Enhance and maintain embedded test applications for various platforms supported across Silicon labs SQA team

Provide technical mentoring to team members through design reviews, code reviews, and informal technical brainstorming and knowledge sharing sessions

Work together with embedded software developers on integrating test application into test framework

Skills You Will Need

M. Tech or B. Tech in Computer Science or related fields with at least 6+ years of proven experience on embedded software development, debugging and continuous integration techniques

Strong background in embedded C programming in highly resource-constrained, real-time, embedded system RTOS environment is ABSOLUTE must.

Excellent team-player with strong communication skills. Should be comfortable working with teams in multiple timezones.

Able to multitask and come up to speed with new technology quickly.

Experience writing and optimizing device drivers for MCU peripherals (UART, SPI, SDIO).

Hands-on experience on Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/BLE/15.4 wireless protocols.

Familiarity in at least one modern programming language - Python preferred.
