Job Overview:

A Principal Reliability Specialist is a key member of our Technology Infrastructure team, responsible for developing and maintaining distributed systems that serve our Global business. This role requires expertise in software and systems engineering, with a focus on ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability.

About the Role:

  • Design and implement high-availability systems to minimize downtime and maximize system utilization.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to optimize system operations and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure changes align with measurable Service Level Objectives (SLOs) across user interactions.
  • Monitor system capacity and performance, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks and sources of instability before they affect stakeholders.
  • Provide feedback on automation code developed by peers, maintaining high standards of code quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, analyzing their impact on infrastructure and service operations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong coding skills in Python and PowerShell; ability to comprehend C# and develop basic applications.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, cloud-based services and infrastructure (AWS), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and Configuration Management (Ansible).
  • Experience with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and ECS.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards.
