Rotating Equipment Design Specialist

A mechanical design engineer with extensive experience in rotating equipment is required to fill a critical role within our organization.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of pumps, compressors, steam turbines, gears, couplings, blowers, and fans as found in oil refineries and petrochemical plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Detailed comprehension of rotating equipment features and mechanical details, including proper specification and application.
- Expertise in applying rotating equipment in specific process plant applications, including materials selection, seal type, and evaluation of pump and compressor performance curves.
- Strong familiarity with related vendors and their products.
- Ability to perform technical evaluations of vendor proposals.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 12 years of design-oriented rotating equipment experience in the refining, petrochemical, and gas processing industries.
- Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software and proficient in the use of computers for specification generation, technical evaluations, and electronic data sharing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Open to international travel, typically of short duration.
