Job Overview

This role entails responsibility for the control system scope of rotating equipment projects, collaborating with project members and content providers in System Engineering.

  • Prepare datasheets, P&ID s, single line diagrams, and wiring diagrams, ensuring data model maintenance together with other project members and content providers, primarily System Engineering in COMOS PT.
  • Design and specify Unit Control Systems, Instrumentation, and Low Voltage Wiring systems, complementing Rotating Machinery used in Industrial Applications - namely compression, power generation, and Oil-Gas. Design drawings include P&I diagrams, instrument lists, controllogics, description, control panel layout, I/O termination, control panel power distribution, instrumentation installation, motor control schematics, hardwired control circuits.
  • Incorporate Siemens Energy design standards and guidelines, adapting assigned scopes to meet project-specific requirements, adhering to customer specifications and international standard requirements.
  • Monitor and manage engineering schedules and hours-budgets for assigned scopes, including timely work release.
  • Support detail engineering in accordance with internal and external customers.
  • Conduct timely design reviews on assigned scopes and supply project design reviews.
  • Innovate and implement efficient solutions for COMOS PT development, requirements management, preventing non-conformances during project execution.
Key Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in field (Instrumentation / Controls / Electronics), Diploma (State-certified technical engineer) with validated experience.

  • 8+ years of experience in Rotating Equipment for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other Process Industry applications, achieved through working on Industrial Applications Products in Controls and Instrumentation Engineering are preferred.
  • Experience in Electrical Equipment Engineering shall be considered.
  • Experience in Services - Installation & Commissioning Engineering shall be considered.
  • Application experience with object-oriented Engineering Software e.g., COMOS PT.
  • Familiarity with standards: API 670 (Machinery Protection System), IEC Explosive Atmosphere Standards), DIN EN Graphic Symbol Standards).
  • Good analytical and cross-cultural abilities.
