Fiscal Specialist

Role Overview:

This is a detail-oriented position that involves handling end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance for US-based clients.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of US GAAP, QuickBooks, and international accounting practices, along with prior experience in working with US clients in a BPO/KPO/outsourcing setup.

About the Position:

This role requires a skilled professional to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for multiple US clients. The selected candidate will be responsible for recording journal entries, general ledger adjustments, and ensuring timely posting of transactions.

Maintaining accurate accounts payable and receivable records is also an essential part of this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Accounting & Bookkeeping:
    • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for multiple US clients.
    • Record journal entries, general ledger adjustments, and ensure timely posting of transactions.
    • Maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable records.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per US GAAP.
    • Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and inter-company balances.
    • Support preparation of management reports and financial dashboards for clients.
  • Taxation & Compliance:
    • Assist with US tax filings, sales tax returns, and payroll processing.
    • Ensure compliance with US accounting standards and client-specific requirements.
    • Liaise with external tax consultants and auditors when required.
  • Client Communication & Support:
    • Work closely with US-based clients to understand their accounting needs.
    • Provide timely updates, reports, and financial insights to clients.
    • Handle queries and resolve issues related to accounting, reporting, or compliance.
  • Process Improvement & Technology:
    • Use QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or other accounting platforms for client management.
    • Contribute to process improvements and standardization of accounting practices.
    • Support automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • 2-4 years of experience in US Accounting / Outsourcing / KPO industry.
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, US tax compliance, and payroll processing.
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar accounting software.
    • Advanced MS Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to interact with US clients.
    • Flexibility to work night shifts aligned with US business hours.
