We are seeking a highly skilled MEP CAD Technician to support the design and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health services.

Job Overview
  • CAD Drawing Preparation: Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Collaboration with Engineers and Designers: Work closely with MEP Engineers and Designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company protocols.

The successful candidate will have experience working with AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM) and be able to prepare accurate and detailed drawings and models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drawing Management: Maintain drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
  • Tender and Construction Drawings: Support project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings.
  • Clash Detection: Assist in the development of coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • CAD Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Revit MEP/BIM (preferred).
  • Mechanical and Electrical Knowledge: Experience in preparing MEP drawings and understanding of building services design.
  • Industry Standards: Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Attention to Detail and Quality Commitment: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Communication and Teamwork Skills: Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Time Management and Adaptability: Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.

Desirable qualifications include experience with Navisworks, clash detection, or other BIM coordination tools.
