Job Description

The role of a Legal Officer is multifaceted and demanding, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

As a Legal Officer, you will be responsible for handling administrative matters of client companies. This includes maintaining relationships with clients and managing teams that oversee company files. You will review corporate agreements, documents, and legal manuals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will coordinate and execute legal, administrative, and banking activities for companies.

  • Prepare legal documents such as directors' resolutions, powers of attorney, principal's indemnity letters, register of members and directors, shares and participation certificates, service agreements, certificates of incumbency, incorporation, liquidation, and other type of legal documents.
  • Actively participate in company incorporation and termination processes.
  • Provide fee quotations for services to be provided to clients and charge fees accordingly.
  • Monitor productivity and chargeability on a weekly basis, reviewing performance against targets to ensure individual financial and client targets are met.
  • Fully understand client activities and ensure actions taken are consistent with company purposes within legal and economic frameworks.
  • Manage companies, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information in client files (CIS and Cabinet).
  • Assure companies are capitalized, and management agreements are available in client files if applicable.
  • Work closely with managers to maintain the client database, ensuring it is updated and accurate at all times. Advise managers on complex requests.
  • Develop and update legal manuals and procedures, contributing to system development and maintenance.
  • Prepare monthly reports for the Management Team; work on specific projects assigned by the Manager; offer advice, knowledge, and experience to colleagues.
