Job Title: Data Engineer - Cloud Expert


We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer - Cloud Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data engineering, SQL optimization, and data modeling. They will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to design, develop, and deliver scalable data solutions using Snowflake.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions within Snowflake.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows using Snowflake and related tools.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Work on data transformation, cleansing, and validation to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Contribute to data modeling, architecture, and design discussions, ensuring alignment with best practices.
  • Integrate Snowflake with various data sources, APIs, and BI tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, data engineers, and architects) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Implement security best practices, access controls, and governance within Snowflake.
  • Monitor and optimize cost, performance, and scalability of Snowflake environments.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers where needed.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of experience as a Data Engineer / Snowflake Developer.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake Cloud Data Platform.
  • Proficiency in SQL (advanced queries, optimization, and performance tuning).
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development.
  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques (star schema, snowflake schema, normalization, denormalization).
  • Experience integrating Snowflake with BI/Analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and data services.
  • Prior pharma domain knowledge is highly preferable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in client-facing environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Snowflake Certification (SnowPro Core or Advanced).
  • Experience with Python/Scala/Spark for data processing.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
  • Exposure to data governance and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR).
