Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Organic Chemist to join our R&D Chemistry team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in organic synthesis, fluorophore/organic molecule synthesis and purification.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute multi-step synthetic routes for fluorescent dyes and related compounds.
  • Optimize existing synthetic protocols for yield, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Purify compounds using advanced techniques such as column chromatography, HPLC, recrystallization, and preparative TLC.
  • Characterize compounds using spectroscopy including NMR, LC-MS, UV-Vis, and fluorescence.
  • Analyze spectral data to confirm structure, identity, and purity.
  • Maintain accurate lab documentation.
  • Collaborate with biology and product development teams to align on project goals.
  • Stay updated with scientific advancements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Organic Chemistry or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in organic synthesis.
  • Strong expertise in fluorophore/organic molecule synthesis and purification.
  • Proficiency in flash chromatography, HPLC, and advanced purification.
  • Analytical expertise in NMR (¹H, ¹³C), MS, and IR spectroscopy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous lab practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
