Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Organic Synthesis Specialist to join our team. As an Organic Chemist, you will be responsible for designing and synthesizing organic compounds.

The primary functions of this role include conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and interpreting results to drive innovation and advance research goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Execute Organic Synthesis Routes: Design and execute efficient and cost-effective organic synthesis routes to target compounds.
  • Purification and Characterization: Perform purification and characterization of organic molecules using analytical techniques such as NMR, HPLC, GC-MS, and IR spectroscopy.
  • Data Analysis and Troubleshooting: Analyze and interpret experimental data to troubleshoot reactions and optimize synthetic routes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and address project challenges.
  • Experimental Records: Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and observations.
  • Staying Current: Stay current with literature and technological advancements in organic chemistry to contribute to the development of novel methodologies and technologies.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in the laboratory environment.
Requirements
  • Education: PhD / Master's degree in organic chemistry or related field(s), or evidence of exceptional ability.
  • Experience: 1-2+ years of industrial experience preferred.
  • Theoretical and Practical Knowledge: Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of organic chemistry principles and techniques.
  • Laboratory Experience: Hands-on experience with organic synthesis, purification, and characterization methods.
  • Laboratory Equipment: Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Commitment to Safety: Commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical conduct in scientific research.
  • Physical Presence: This is an onsite role and requires physical presence.
