Strategic Technology Leadership

The organization is seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer to spearhead the strategic technology direction of the company. The successful candidate will drive innovation, operational excellence, and revenue growth by leading the development of cutting-edge solutions using Microsoft Azure, .NET Core, React, OpenAI, Python, and Power Platform technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technology Vision: Set the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap across all products and platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Product Innovation: Lead the development of SaaS and PaaS solutions that meet the evolving needs of clients in the Legal and Professional Services industry.
  • Industry Influence: Leverage high-level relationships with C-Level executives at Am Law firms to inform product strategy and drive business development.
  • AI & Microsoft Ecosystem Expertise: Drive innovation using Microsoft 365 (Teams, Viva, Planner, etc.), SharePoint, Generative AI, and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Sales, and Executive Leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals.
  • Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing engineering and IT team, mentoring leaders and instilling a strong engineering culture.
  • Public & Client Representation: Represent the organization in client meetings, industry events, and conferences, maintaining a strong professional public presence.
  • Strategic Planning: Make informed decisions on build vs. buy, cloud adoption, vendor selection, and platform modernization.
  • Agility & Commitment: Demonstrate willingness to work extended or flexible hours to meet strategic goals and critical deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure PaaS/SaaS, .NET Core (WebAPI), Python, React, Angular, TypeScript, and OpenAI microservices.
  • Strong Background: In-depth experience with building scalable enterprise systems in the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Industry Network: Established senior-level connections within Am Law 100/200 firms, ideally at the COO or equivalent level.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a CTO/CIO capacity managing high-growth SaaS businesses.
  • Business Acumen: Solid understanding of SaaS metrics, budgeting, cost optimization, and revenue growth strategy.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional critical thinking, presentation, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Professional Image: Strong public speaking presence and exceptional leadership qualities.
