Job Opportunity: Senior Structure Designer

  • Develop project-specific implementation strategies to ensure Building Information Modelling (BIM) success.
  • Collaborate with project teams to standardize and document Revit workflows and best practices.
  • Assist in preparing BIM guidelines for project-specific requirements and training project personnel in the use of BIM tools.
  • Create and maintain BIM models for project-specific requirements.
  • Identify conflicts, incomplete or ambiguous design information, and discuss with engineering teams and coordinate with other discipline teams.
  • Attend or manage model coordination meetings and document project preconstruction and BIM meetings.
  • Create new library components and maintain them once projects are over.
  • Provide ongoing support for all BIM applications and work closely with design generating BIM documents for construction bidding purposes.
  • Participate in structure coordination phases of projects when Revit models are required for clash detection.
  • Maintain BIM standards and design templates to ensure quality and consistency of design environment and deliverables throughout various offices worldwide.
  • Review and QA/QC project deliverables.
Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent education in a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well independently at times.
  • Ability to see the bigger picture and take a birds-eye view of projects.
  • Confident with the ability to work either independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Accountability for assigned work.
  • Accuracy and precision of work.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
