Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised education plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Deliver customised instruction based on individual learning styles.
  • Modify the standard curriculum to meet abilities of students with disabilities.
  • Implement and monitor behaviour intervention plans using positive behaviour supports.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, counsellors, and parents to support academic and social development.
  • Assess and track student performance and progress regularly.
  • Maintain a supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate student records.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or equivalent in Multiple Disabilities.
  • Experience working with individuals with multiple disabilities.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in educational technology and assistive aids.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good organisational and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and instructional strategies.
