Financial Operations Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Associate to support our finance and operations team.

Job Description:

This role requires strong knowledge of Australian bookkeeping, accounting standards, and taxation rules. You will be working closely with our leadership team to ensure our financial records are accurate, up to date, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with Australian accounting standards.
  • Assist with BAS, GST, and other tax-related filings.
  • Process payroll and superannuation contributions (if required).
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Work with accountants to prepare financial reports and ensure compliance.
  • Manage invoicing, receipts, and expense tracking.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and clients regarding financial matters.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (Australian clients or companies preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB.
  • Solid understanding of BAS, GST, superannuation, and other Australian compliance requirements.
  • Fluent English (written and verbal). Clear, professional, and confident communicator.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Sharp, analytical, and proactive problem-solver.
