Senior Finishing Operations Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the finishing operations of a fabric mill, ensuring high-quality output, operational efficiency, and adherence to delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the finishing department, including bleaching, dyeing, printing, washing, and other finishing processes. Ensure adherence to production schedules and customer delivery commitments. Monitor machine utilization, efficiency, and workflow to optimize capacity.
  • Quality Management: Oversee quality control processes to ensure fabrics meet required customer specifications and international standards. Drive initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and waste. Implement best practices for process consistency and product reliability.
  • Process Improvement & Innovation: Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement methodologies. Introduce new finishing techniques and technologies to improve efficiency, quality, and sustainability. Collaborate with R&D and technical teams on process development and new product trials.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain standards in line with customer audits, certifications, and sustainability requirements (e.g., ZDHC, OEKO-TEX, GOTS). Enforce strict adherence to EHS guidelines within the finishing operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Production Management or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in fabric finishing, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role in a reputable fabric/textile mill.
