Senior Java Developer - Build Tools and CI/CD Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Developer with expertise in build tools and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Ant, Maven, and Gradle, and experience with GitHub Actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Migrate our existing Ant-based build system to either Maven or Gradle, preserving the current project structure and minimizing disruption to the development workflow.
  • Optimize the build process for performance and efficiency.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions, integrating it with the chosen build tool (Maven or Gradle).
  • Implement automated testing, code quality checks, and deployment stages.
  • Configure pipeline triggers and notifications for effective collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of Java-based applications, writing clean, efficient, and well-tested code.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ant build tool and experience in migrating to Maven or Gradle.
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools like GitHub Actions.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with other build tools (Maven, Gradle).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker).
