Production Oversight Specialist

The Production Oversight Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process to ensure timely, cost-effective and quality output. This role involves managing resources, coordinating with different departments, implementing production plans and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and control production schedules to meet deadlines and optimize output.
  • Monitor daily production activities, ensuring efficiency and minimal downtime.
  • Supervise and lead the production team, allocating tasks and ensuring adherence to work standards.
  • Maintain inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods in coordination with the stores and procurement teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations and quality control standards.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery is serviced and downtime is minimised.
  • Analyse production data, prepare reports and suggest process improvements for cost reduction and productivity enhancement.
  • Train and motivate production staff to achieve performance targets and maintain discipline.
  • Collaborate with the QA/QC team to ensure products meet customer and industry standards.
  • Address and resolve any production-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in a similar production supervisory or in charge role.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, process optimization and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and 5S practices is preferred.
