Quantitative Risk Analyst

Mizuho Global Services is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Risk Analytics team as a Quantitative Risk Analyst.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the risk assessment process, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of risk-related data. They will be responsible for developing and implementing quantitative risk models, utilizing Python programming skills to build and maintain risk models, and performing data analysis and validation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of quantitative risk models, including Value-at-risk and Potential Future Exposure methodologies.
  • Collaborating with the Risk Management team to enhance risk reporting frameworks and perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Utilizing Python programming skills to build and maintain risk models, perform data analysis, and automate risk reporting processes.
  • Working with global and local IT teams to help fix issues related to JIRAs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline desirable.
  • Previous experience in a bank, financial institution, or securities firm, preferably in a risk management or quantitative role.
