Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead incident management processes effectively.
  • Develop and maintain a reliable application suite to meet development and maintenance requirements.
  • Provide consultation and technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and systems programming.
  • Engineer platform performance and availability to meet enterprise objectives through monitoring and timely service restoration.
  • Improve automation of applications tasks continuously.
  • Provide technical support for systems/platforms according to application SLA's.
  • Design resiliency in application code, troubleshoot incidents, engage with squads to address failure patterns, and participate in incident management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or industry certification in an applicable IT field with 3 years relevant experience in design/administration/support of one or more platforms.
  • Experience as a Systems Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer with knowledge of theories and methodologies of reliability engineering.
  • Knowledge of ops automation using scripting languages like Python or Ansible.
  • Performance Measurement and Tuning: Knowledge of system performance, testing, and programming.
  • CI/CD Pipeline: Knowledge of concepts, values, and tools applied in building Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment pipelines.
  • Software Release Management: Knowledge of strategies, practices, and tools for managing versions and distribution of software products and enhancements.
  • Application Maintenance: Knowledge of production applications and ability to monitor application functions and resolve issues to maintain optimal conditions.
  • Agile Development: Knowledge of agile methodologies and lifecycle.
