The Opportunity

As a Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in our growth strategy, identifying and developing strategic partnerships that expand our reach within the manufacturing sector. You'll leverage your strong business acumen, relationship-building skills, and industry knowledge to forge new alliances and drive business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Development & Strategic Partnerships:
    • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential partners and analyze industry trends.
    • Develop and execute a strategic plan for partnership acquisition across the manufacturing sector.
    • Initiate and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers within target companies and organizations.
    • Negotiate and structure mutually beneficial partnership agreements that drive revenue growth.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing) to ensure seamless integration and successful implementation of partnerships.
  • Business Growth & Client Acquisition:
    • Contribute to the development of new business opportunities and revenue streams within the blue-collar workforce solutions market.
    • Proactively identify and qualify new client prospects, aligning their needs with Smartstaff's offerings.
    • Partner with the Sales team to close deals and onboard new clients, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Industry Expertise & Market Intelligence:
    • Stay abreast of industry developments, competitor activities, and emerging technologies within the blue-collar workforce space.
    • Share market insights and trends with internal teams to inform strategic decisions.


Requirements

4-7 years of experience in business development or a related field, preferably within the manufacturing or staffing industry. Proven track record of building strong relationships with key stakeholders and identifying new business opportunities. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a persuasive approach. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset. In-depth understanding of the blue-collar workforce landscape and its challenges. A collaborative team player with a results-oriented attitude and a passion for innovation. Experience working with B2B partnerships is a plus.
