Senior Project Director

The Senior Project Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects. This includes strategic planning, operational management, financial oversight, and ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

This senior leadership position is based in Mumbai and requires the candidate to be located at our Mira-Bhayandar location.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and success. Identify market opportunities and trends to guide business development initiatives.
  • Project Management: Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery. Ensure timely completion, within budget, and in compliance with contractual specifications and safety standards.
  • Financial Management: Manage project finances, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting. Evaluate project profitability and implement strategies for optimization.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead high-performing teams. Foster a collaborative work environment that drives results.
  • Clients Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs, and ensuring satisfaction. Act as the primary point of contact for key clients and stakeholders.
  • Quality and Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce quality control and safety protocols throughout all construction activities. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the civil construction sector. Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, contractors, and partners.
  • Contract Management: Oversee contract negotiation and management with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure contractual obligations are met, and resolve disputes.
  • Risk Management: Implement risk assessment and mitigation strategies for construction projects. Proactively address potential issues to prevent delays and cost overruns.
  • Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, financial performance, and strategic initiatives. Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Requirements & Qualification:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is desirable.
  • Extensive experience (over 20 years) in senior management roles within the civil construction industry.
  • A thorough understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and industry best practices.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale construction projects. Excellent financial acumen and budget management experience.
  • Additional Considerations: Professional certifications such as PMP or CCM are advantageous.
