Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and monitor production infrastructure and services, including Linux and cloud platforms.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
  • Ensure timely resolution of incidents and conduct root cause analysis to prevent future issues.
  • Implement and monitor system performance metrics and alerts using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Perform regular system upgrades, patching, and backups to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Work in rotational shifts to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
  • Participate in infrastructure capacity planning and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Adhere to best practices for security, high availability, and disaster recovery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or System Administration roles.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Working knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Experience in writing shell/Python scripts for automation.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices.
  • Exposure to monitoring/logging tools (ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Basic understanding of network concepts (DNS, Load Balancer, VPN).
  • Ability to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and night shifts.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
