Global Purchasing Lead

Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement commodity strategy for all direct and indirect commodities across Cepheid India.
- Execute PR to PO process and normal purchasing activities to support manufacturing and commercial business operations.
- Negotiate and contract with suppliers in alignment with respective functions while focusing on quality, delivery, and cost.
- Drive YoY cost savings through new initiatives and benchmarking across market.
- Lead cost savings workshops and create SOPs.
- Align with global teams on strategy and processes to leverage benefits.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key suppliers and monitor performance as per agreed deliverables.
- Manage end-to-end vendor onboarding process.
- Ensure and monitor compliance to all processes and policies within and at supplier end.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with 8 years of experience or Diploma in Engineering with 12 years of experience.
- Diploma in Purchasing Management or SCM.
- Minimum 5 years managing direct and indirect commodities.
- Experience in medical, pharma, or FMCG industry.
- Experience in developing and implementing commodity strategy.
- Proficiency in MS Office, PPT, and ERP system (SAP).
