System Administrator

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to oversee the Windchill PLM system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Administer and maintain the Windchill PLM system for optimal performance and uptime.
  2. Perform routine upgrades, patches, and migrations as necessary.
  3. Configure and customize Windchill according to business requirements.
  4. Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings effectively.
  5. Provide expert technical support and training to end-users.
  6. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and ensure seamless operations.
  7. Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate Windchill with other enterprise systems.
  8. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to Windchill configurations, processes, and procedures.
  9. Implement best practices for data management and system security to protect sensitive information.
  10. Contribute to PLM projects, participating in planning, design, and execution phases to drive success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Windchill System Administrator or similar role.
  • Thorough knowledge of Windchill architecture, modules, and functionalities.
  • Experience with Windchill configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) and SQL.
  • Familiarity with PLM best practices and data management principles.
  • Experience deploying or managing Windchill in AWS.
  • Proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
