Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tax Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years of experience in US GAAP general accounting and be proficient in tax returns preparation, tax reports production, and client paperwork tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project deliverables and client engagements with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and review all types of tax returns with a focus on quality and timeliness.
  • Assist experienced associates drive deliverables forward by providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Research difficult tax issues to identify effective solutions that meet client needs.
  • Maintain the company's tax database, ensuring it is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Comply with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities in a timely manner.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and changes related to taxes, applying this knowledge to improve client services.
  • Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports for clients and management.

Requirements for Success:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or a master's degree in accounting with US taxation experience.
  • Intermediate CA, CA, CPA, or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification (or progress towards certification) – preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build client rapport and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and other US accounting systems.
  • Proficiency in intermediate Microsoft Excel and MS Office.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or master's degree in accounting with US taxation experience.
  • Certifications: Intermediate CA, CA, CPA, or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification (or progress towards certification).
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivation, knowledge of accounting systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
