Senior Data Governance Lead

The role of Senior Data Governance Lead is to design and implement a comprehensive data governance program that enables the organization to effectively manage its data assets.

Data Governance is critical to ensuring the quality, accuracy, and integrity of our data. As a Senior Data Governance Lead, you will be responsible for building and supporting the tools and technologies required to enable an Enterprise Data Governance program.

  • You will act as a primary contributor for the implementation of data governance programs using popular tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc.
  • You will build and support solutions for data governance in these tools to enable data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage of enterprise applications and data sources.
  • You will enable enterprise-level integration of metadata stores for business users to search and understand information by developing standard business glossaries and data dictionaries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement a solution for data cataloging with a data governance tool to establish clear data ownership and access control management.
  • Build custom integrations between the data governance tool and various data stores to map and view data lineage.
  • S Support the enterprise in migrating from existing data sources like SharePoint, Excel, etc. to a data governance tool.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related fields or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience utilizing tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc. to implement data governance programs.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management space under any area.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions to data privacy requirements and challenges.
