Network Infrastructure Specialist - Data Center Security

About the Role:

We seek an experienced professional to provide Level 2 operational support for data center security, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Cisco Tetration components and sensors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain day-to-day operations of Cisco Tetration in a distributed environment.
  • Assist in the configuration and deployment of Cisco Tetration components and sensors.
  • Support the implementation of application segmentation and micro-segmentation policies across the data center environment.
  • Analyze telemetry data to ensure network visibility, security posture, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot policy conflicts and application visibility issues.
  • Escalate issues to L3/engineering teams as necessary, following incident management protocols.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Network Engineering or IT Infrastructure roles.
  • Strong knowledge of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), VLANs, ACLs, and firewalls.
  • Working knowledge of data center infrastructure, virtualization (VMware), and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with application traffic mapping, segmentation, and policy enforcement using Cisco Tetration.
  • Familiarity with network and security best practices, compliance, and audit reporting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to automation tools like Python or Ansible for Tetration integration.
  • Understanding of REST APIs, telemetry data, and policy modeling in Tetration.
