Cost Management Specialist

This role involves overseeing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring that costs are accurately estimated, budgeted, and managed throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Examine project scope in line with design requirements to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Validate technical specifications from the design team to ensure they align with client needs.
  • Optimize project specifications while meeting client requirements, minimizing unnecessary expenses.
  • Review and validate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and supporting documentation.
  • Present BOQs and suggested solutions to management for approval.
  • Verify Requests for Allowance (RA) bills and final invoices.
  • Prepare amendments as necessary.
  • Analyze budget costs based on benchmark cost matrices to identify areas for improvement.
  • Submit alternative budget options considering different design solutions.
  • Explore new products and technologies, and bring them to approval.
  • Propose optimization options for budgets to meet cost requirements within given timelines.
  • Compile reports on cost analysis of projects as per management requirements.
