Senior Engineering Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Content Automation group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding multiple teams in delivering high-definition maps used in autonomous driving.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage resource allocation and identify staffing shortages to optimize team performance.
  • Conduct organization planning and development, providing technical leadership and making critical technical decisions.
  • Define future product directions, priorities, and roadmaps in synergy with Product Management.
  • Ensure the delivery of map data and services according to product and technology development plans with high performance at the lowest possible cost.
  • Build a culture of respect, delivery, and innovation within the team, empowering managers and individual contributors to make the biggest impact possible.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Total 12 years of work experience in a related field, with 8 years proven track record of managing R&D teams and 5 years expert-level coding skills in Java.
  • Proven track record of building and operating highly reliable, scalable data-processing systems.
  • Expert knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with transforming ideas into commercial products and hands-on experience with Git, Gerrit, or Gitlab, as well as CI/CD pipelines.
  • Good understanding of open-source frameworks, such as Apache Spark, Flink, Kafka, and Service-oriented Architectures, micro-services architecture, and cloud services platforms like AWS.
  • Creative, actionable, and self-driven, with excellent people skills and ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
