Director of Information Security Engineering

The Associate Director, Information Security Engineering role is a leadership position that requires in-depth technical expertise and comprehensive knowledge of enterprise operations.
This senior security leader will identify, evaluate, and articulate business risks, developing secure architectures to address those risks. Building consensus across the organization is critical, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will lead from within, driving Illumina's overall security strategy and architecture. They will work collaboratively with teams to provide assistance with threat remediation, security policy development, and implementing best practices.
Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain global security standards and guidelines
- Evaluate industry solutions for suitability within the enterprise environment
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive security initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on security best practices and emerging threats
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in Enterprise IT Information Security or related field
- Excellent knowledge of end-user and host security controls and technologies
- Identity and access management, including role-based access control
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Key Skills and Qualifications:
- CISSP certification highly desirable
- Experience with cloud architectures and orchestration layers
- Understanding of server virtualization platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
