Structural Engineering Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineering Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of structural engineering principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented engineer to take on a key role in our team. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing design documents, conducting site visits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and review of conceptual studies, designs, reports, and proposals for projects of varying complexity.
  • Performance of finite element modeling and structural analysis of various steel and concrete structures.
  • Review of bid analyses and provision of recommendations.
  • Preparation and/or assistance in preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and staffing requirements for proposals, forecasts, and change orders.
  • Review and checking of work performed by junior team members, with input provided for their performance evaluation.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need to possess:

  • Strong Understanding of Structural Engineering Principles:
  • A broad knowledge of major design engineering deliverables.
  • Planning, conducting, and coordinating detailed phases of engineering work.
  • Performing work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
  • Familiarity with Standard Application Programs and appropriate computer-aided design and computer-aided engineering (CAD and CAE) tools.
  • Ability to coordinate engineering effort in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, and contractors, and between other groups.
  • Understanding of engineering planning and control methods, including computerized methods.
  • Understanding of the roles played by other disciplines like Plant Layout and Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, Geotech, and Construction, etc.
  • Understanding of industry or regulatory codes and standards and design criteria pertinent to the engineering discipline.
  • Experience in leading a team of designers in EPC and/or big FEED projects.
  • Capability of planning, assigning, guiding, and monitoring work of team members.
  • Capability of assuring quality of design and associated deliverables.

Bonus Requirements

The following skills will be highly advantageous:

  • Experience in design of Flat slabs, Cheese slabs, and dynamic analysis of structures.
