Leadership Opportunity in Medical Coding

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical coding professional to lead our team.

  • The ideal candidate will have over 17 years of experience in medical coding, with a proven track record of managing large teams of coders.
  • The candidate should be certified from AAPC or AHIMA, with strong leadership capabilities, client handling experience, and a deep understanding of the healthcare and medical coding industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations, including workload and staffing, hiring, performance appraisals, training, and monitoring quality of work.
  • Develop strategic plans, objectives, and programs, ensuring effective implementation.
  • Assist in planning, developing, and controlling resources, including staffing costs, capital equipment, and operations.
  • Evaluate the impact of innovations and changes in programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Design and implement systems to improve data accessibility, identify and resolve problems, and prepare administrative reports.
  • Oversee and monitor the coding compliance program, develop educational and training programs, and ensure dissemination of regulatory changes.
  • Conduct and oversee coding audit efforts, coordinate monitoring of accuracy and documentation adequacy, and report non-compliance issues.
  • Conduct trend analyses to identify patterns and variations in coding practices and review claim denials and rejections.

Requirements:

  • Any Graduate (preferably from Life Science background)
  • 17+ years of experience in Multispecialty Coding and substantial team management experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong managerial, leadership, analytical, interpersonal skills, and outstanding organizational skills
  • Hands-on experience in generating reports using MS Office - Excel, Word, and MS PowerPoint
