Project Management Expert

This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will possess strong project governance, budget management, schedule management, CAPEX tracking & stakeholder communication skills to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with all contractual and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement Project Governance: Develop and enforce policies consistently across all projects.
  • Monitor Project Status: Provide key insights to senior management for effective decision-making.
  • Ensure Contractual Adherence: Collaborate with partners to ensure adherence to contractual obligations, including Bank Guarantees (BGs), insurances, and statutory requirements.
  • Track Timelines: Rigorously track project and contractual timelines; advise on Liquidated Damages (LD) penalties, Extensions of Time (EOTs), and recovery or extension of BGs as necessary.
Budget & Capex Tracking:
  • Develop Project Budgets: Assist in developing project budgets in collaboration with Design, Projects, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) teams.
  • Generate NFA Requests: Facilitate the generation and approval of Non-Fundable Approvals (NFA) requests in line with approved project budgets.
  • Manage Budget Tracker: Create and manage a comprehensive Budget Tracker for projects; promptly notify senior management of any cost overruns.
  • Capex Forecasts: Coordinate with project and SCM teams to develop Capex forecasts for effective project planning and resource allocation.
Customer Handling, Reporting & Documentation:
  • Internal Reports: Compile detailed Management Information System (MIS) reports for senior management meetings, and generate progress updates highlighting key achievements and challenges.
  • External Reports: Develop and maintain project schedules aligned with customer commitments; prepare detailed reports for customers and external investors showcasing project progress and future projections.
  • Meetings with Customers: Lead meetings with customers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and manage expectations.
  • Communication Channels: Establish and maintain communication channels to oversee the design process through to construction issue resolution in collaboration with customer SMEs.
  • Design & Procurement: Coordinate design and procurement for customer-related packages alongside internal and external stakeholders.
  • Reports & MOM: Compile and disseminate reports and Minutes of Meeting (MOM) to ensure transparency.
Conduct On-Site Visits:

Provide project insights and updates to customers during on-site visits.

Stakeholder Management:
  • Establish Communication Channels: Regularly communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed about project progress, milestones, and decisions.
  • Maintain Transparency: Ensure openness and trust in communications by actively listening to stakeholder concerns and addressing their needs.
  • Build Relationships: Engage stakeholders in project activities and decision-making processes where appropriate.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, PGDPM NICMAR/RICS. A Master's degree or PMP certification is desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in program/project management, preferably in [Data center industry/sector].
  • Skills: Strong understanding of PLM policies, project governance, and contract management.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in budget management and financial forecasting.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as MSP, MS Doc, Power Bi e.t.c.
  • Adaptability: Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
