Senior Software Engineering Leader

As a senior software engineering leader, you will oversee the development of scalable and high-performance products using cloud-based technologies. Your expertise in solution architecture, design, development, testing, and automation will enable the team to deliver top-notch solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading technical teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and driving innovation through technology.
- Tracking progress, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing adjustments as necessary to meet project milestones and velocity targets.
- Leveraging technical expertise to ensure the development of secure, highly performant, and scalable products.
- Working with engineers to create, maintain, and enhance pipelines for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) of infrastructure and application code.
- Utilizing data science and advanced analytics to create actionable insights and recommendations for business leaders.
- Applying best practice software engineering principles towards the development of applications and production AI models.
- Exploring opportunities to leverage and benefit from generative AI.
- Fostering an engineering mindset culture that focuses on increasing business value velocity, building high-quality products, and delivering user experiences that support end-to-end workflows.
- Leading the team in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Staying current on technology to capitalize on new capabilities that can advance business objectives.
- At least 4 years of experience in Hadoop, Spark/PySpark.
- Experience with VBA/Tableau/R/Python for at least 2 years.
- Proven experience in DevOps, Open-Source tools/technologies such as Airflow, Jenkins, Git, GitHub actions, Terraform, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, Python, and related tools & processes.
- Experience with web development frameworks, JAVA, Angular for at least 4 years.
- Experience with SQL, complex queries, and troubleshooting.
- Background in application development, including mobile technologies, web services, and back-end application infrastructure.
- Familiarity with agile methodology, including SCRUM team leadership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Strong influencing/negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal/relationship management skills.
- Strong time and project management skills.
- 13+ years of total IT experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years of proven experience leading/managing technical teams.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts.
- Proven track record of delivering software engineering initiatives, Data Product initiatives, and cross IT/business initiatives.
- Demonstrated success with delivering products using modern software techniques.
- Applied expertise in software engineering methodologies, including automation and CI/CD.
- Coaching of team members.
