Job Title: Lead Technology Specialist

This is a technical leadership role responsible for administering and executing configuration management changes to ensure CMDB data integrity and robustness.

  1. Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the accuracy and completeness of CMDB data by identifying and resolving data inconsistencies.
  • Establish relationships between CIs to accurately reflect dependencies within the IT infrastructure.
  • Perform data cleansing and deduplication activities.
  • Manage the CMDB module, improving data representation accuracy.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators for CMDB health.
Discovery and Integration:
  • Configure and manage data discovery tools to automatically populate the CMDB with information from various IT systems.
  • Integrate CMDB data with other ServiceNow modules like Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
  • Map data from external systems to the CMDB schema.
Data Governance:
  • Define data quality standards and metrics for the CMDB.
  • Establish data ownership and accountability across different teams.
  • Implement data validation processes to ensure data integrity.
Asset Management:
  • Experience over HAM and SAM applications.
  • Define HAM and SAM lifecycle and governance.
  • Contribute to and maintain a showcase of ITOM and ITAM solution configurations, stories, and test use cases created on the ServiceNow platform.
CSDM:
  • Hands-on experience in CSDM model and lifecycle.
Collaboration and Support:
  • Work with IT teams to ensure accurate and timely updates to the CMDB.
  • Strong alignment with architect and engineering teams on delivery standards.
  • Provide training on ITOM discovery, OT Module, and SAM best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement CMDB and ITOM improvements.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
    • Overall experience of 8-10 years relevant experience in an IT industry.
    • 5 years' experience in ServiceNow, with a focus on IT Service Management (ITSM).
    • 5 years' experience in ServiceNow CMDB, ITOM, SAM, and HAM Modules.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and components (servers, networks, applications).
    • Experience defining, documenting, and implementing CMDB governance processes and procedures.
    • Experience managing CI data in a ServiceNow CMDB.
    • Experience creating CI Data Health reports, identifying, and resolving CI data gaps to maintain CI data integrity.

Bonus Points:

  • ITIL certified.
  • Strong experience of ITIL processes.
  • Certified ServiceNow Admin (CSA), CMDB Fundamentals, ITOM Discovery Implementation, and CSDM Fundamental.
