Infrastructure Architectural Specialist

As an experienced professional in the field of modern infrastructure systems, we are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Infrastructure Architectural Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building, managing, and scaling complex infrastructure systems for high-availability applications.

The selected individual will be responsible for driving initiatives to improve platform scalability and operational efficiency, as well as leading standardization efforts across engineering and infrastructure teams. They will identify opportunities to improve and automate deployments, visibility, and management, ensuring infrastructure safety and full-stack diagnostics and resolve complex infrastructure issues.

Key Skills and Competencies:
  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Chef, Desired State Configuration (DSC), packaging, deploying, and managing containerized workloads on Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Packaging, deploying, and managing cloud-based services using AWS, EC2, S3, ELB, Lambda, Route 53, ECS, SQS, CloudWatch.
  • Automation/scripting skills using PowerShell, Ruby, Go, Python, Bash, DevOps or SRE environment experience, monitoring and reporting tools – ELK Stack, Dynatrace, New Relic, Nagios.
  • Expertise in web farm management for high-traffic SaaS applications, .NET application architectures, CICD pipelines and tools – TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, GitHub, Jenkins, Codefresh.
  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills, ability to track performance metrics and make data-backed improvement decisions.

  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate deployments, visibility, and management.
  • Apply cloud security best practices to ensure infrastructure safety.
  • Full-stack diagnostics and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
  • Track performance metrics and make data-backed improvement decisions.
  • Suggest infrastructure or process changes for system reliability.
  • Ensure disaster recovery readiness and implement high availability systems.
  • Build support workflows and assist with incident response.
