Freelance Shop Floor Operations Expert

We are seeking a seasoned Shop Floor Operations Specialist to drive operational excellence in our client's manufacturing operations.

This freelance role will involve leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize shop floor processes, analyzing existing workflows to identify areas for improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive alignment on operational goals. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive process optimization by identifying opportunities for improvement and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Analyze Existing Workflows: Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with production planning, quality control, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop Training Programs: Create training sessions for client staff on improved processes and tools to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor Progress: Regularly track and report progress to stakeholders, ensuring that operational goals are met.

  • Manufacturing Experience: Hands-on experience in production planning, shop floor processes, and supply chain management.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve operational issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while driving impactful outcomes.
