Senior Manufacturing Digitalization Expert

This position is responsible for driving PepsiCo's digital transformation agenda in manufacturing across India and South Africa.

The role serves as a strategic bridge between IT and Manufacturing, overseeing the deployment of packaged and custom-built IT solutions that deliver real-time visibility into shop floor performance and quality, while integrating with plant automation systems including PLCs and automated storage solutions.

The position offers significant exposure and collaboration with global and regional Business, IT, and OT teams. It requires strong leadership to set priorities, influence stakeholders, drive solution adoption, deliver measurable value, and ensure continuity of manufacturing operations.

  • Provide strategic IT guidance to Markets/Business Units, ensuring technology initiatives are fully aligned with business priorities and goals.
  • Lead the deployment, stabilization, and adoption of digital manufacturing solutions.
  • Drive end-to-end implementation of shop floor solutions in line with PepsiCo's Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and sector transformation strategies.
  • Ensure digital solutions are integrated with business processes and operations to deliver measurable value and efficiency.
  • Oversee project delivery by tracking progress, anticipating risks, and driving timely resolution of roadblocks.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, 10–12 years of relevant IT experience, and hands-on experience deploying shop floor/industrial digitization programs. The ideal candidate should have a proven ability to operate effectively in matrixed organizations and collaborate with geographically dispersed teams.
