Manufacturing Excellence Specialist

• The primary objective of this position is to identify and implement process improvement methodologies across the business, leading to service enhancement and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to build a continuous improvement environment that supports ongoing manufacturing transformation through WCM practices.
• Support the delivery of value-added services by eliminating unnecessary complexity in business processes and identifying more efficient ways of working.
• Assist in the development and implementation of a 'best-in-class' continuous improvement strategy.
• Take ownership of change initiatives from ideation to project delivery, ensuring internal governance and controls are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement the standard world-class manufacturing framework across pan-India plants, driving operational excellence.
• Work with other team members and business services departments to devise new support materials based on revised processes, including training, reporting, and systems enhancements.
• Actively monitor project risks, identifying potential problems and proactively finding solutions to address them in advance.
• Evaluate the business impact and project objectives/dependencies at all times, ensuring successful delivery.
• Establish programs, deliver coaching, and run projects across plants, promoting efficiency and operational excellence.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and improvements can be made for future projects.
• Improve efficiency KPIs in manufacturing sites through continuous monitoring and analysis.
• Implement lean methods to increase efficiency, throughput, and operational excellence.
• Take ownership of change initiatives from ideation to project delivery via internal governance and controls.
• Support plant teams in benchmarking, problem-solving, and continuous improvement programs.
• Collaborate with operations in designing, developing, and implementing policy deployment within the business, cascading KPIs and KRAs at all business levels.
• Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
• Ensure relevant ongoing learning and development of all employees in Lean improvement tools and communication methods.
• Cultivate teams and individuals to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
• Manage cross-functional team members effectively.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, interacting professionally with diverse groups, partners, senior managers, and subject matter experts.

• Good honors degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Excellent understanding of continuous improvement concepts, including Six Sigma, Lean, and value stream mapping.
• Strong analytical, project, and product management skills, interpreting business needs and translating them into operational requirements.
• Ability to set up, facilitate, and lead service improvement/workshops with various business stakeholders, including experience in process/value stream mapping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• End-to-end coordinator responsible for ideas from inception to delivery, operating in an environment requiring robust metrics to confirm success.
• Experience in designing or implementing a framework of continuous improvement.
• Hands-on experience in implementing continuous improvement programs and Lean solutions.
