Search Solutions Engineer

We're seeking an experienced Search/Information Retrieval Engineer to design, develop, and optimize search solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences.

  • Design and implement advanced search functionality using modern technologies
  • Develop high-quality, scalable applications with focus on relevancy, performance, and user experience
  • Create and optimize algorithms, ranking models, and retrieval methods
  • Create Knowledge Graphs from corporate data sources
  • Implement query understanding, text analysis, and relevance scoring
  • Analyze and maintain existing infrastructure and applications
  • Design A/B tests to measure quality improvements
  • Develop efficient indexing strategies and data preparation pipelines
  • Implement machine learning models for ranking
  • Discover and fix bugs
  • Monitor and optimize search performance metrics
  • Create documentation for search systems
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience
  • 3+ years of experience developing search solutions
  • Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python)
  • Hands-on experience with search engines (Elasticsearch, Solr)
  • Understanding of information retrieval concepts (TF-IDF, BM25, vector search)
  • Expertise in SQL databases and NoSQL solutions
  • Experience with text processing, NLP, and relevance tuning
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
